By the world’s standards, my vintage market last weekend was an utter and complete failure. Very few people showed up to shop. Did I advertise well? YES! Did I have amazing vendors? YES! Y’all, I did everything in my power to do this well and it flopped. Dreadfully. Last time I held this market, 500+ people showed up. Does it make sense? NO! Am I disappointed? YES! Will I get over it? 100%! Let me tell you why...

By God’s standards, my vintage market was a roaring success! Relationships were strengthened or began, God-honoring conversations were had all over our property, vendors had down time to plan and relax in a quiet, country setting and PEOPLE came away feeling welcomed and loved. The abundant blessing I feel to have been a part of that is beyond compare. .

I’m still processing what all that means for us here at Rancho La Flor but I know God is telling me something of great value. I’m listening closely to what that is and how to flesh that out practically. I am so THANKFUL for all the trust, friendship and love that was exhibited by my friends (vendors, helpers, shoppers and guests alike) towards me and one another. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to me that this is community at its finest and God is at the center of it - He is so good to me. “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” - Psalm 136:1
